On March 3, a meeting was held in the regional state administration dedicated to the events planned in the Kharkiv region on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
The participants of the meeting adopted phone number list the final plan of events, which was formed with the participation of Chernobyl public organizations and departments of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration. In particular, on the occasion of the anniversary, it is planned to hold celebratory events, round tables, broadcast programs and documentaries on radio, television, etc.

During the meeting, representatives of Chernobyl victims proposed creating search teams in schools in the region that would collect information about the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident who are no longer alive. This information is planned to be used in creating a book of memory about Chernobyl victims in the Kharkiv region.

Mikhail Chernyak supported this proposal.

"We will support all initiatives of Chernobyl victims and will do everything that depends on the authorities to implement them. Of course, such work by schoolchildren will be useful both in terms of collecting information about our fellow countrymen who eliminated the consequences of the terrible accident, and in terms of patriotic education, noted the deputy head of the region. We will work on this issue in the working order at the level of the Department of Education. You will receive our full support."

Mikhail Chernyak emphasized that work related to resolving the issues of liquidators is carried out in the Kharkiv region on an ongoing basis, and not only in connection with the anniversary of the tragedy.

"We are not limited to honoring the memory of Chernobyl victims in April. This year has been declared the Year of Chernobyl, and we will work to solve the problems of our Chernobyl victims systematically and efficiently," emphasized the deputy chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration.
