Marco Resino, IM student and Inbound Marketing Manager at International

Post by sakib25 »

Marco Resino is passionate about Digital Marketing and that is why he has decided to make it his way of life. Managing the communications of several companies at the same time, he stands out for his knowledge of both the strategic and the more practical aspects, such as design or programming. He is currently studying our Master in Digital Marketing and Ecommerce to further specialize in this branch. In the following interview he tells us about his career.

After graduating in economics and digital marketing, you began your career as a marketing intern at STIHL Gruppe. How do you remember your first professional contact with digital marketing and what tasks did you perform?
Coming to Stihl meant coming to a very powerful and world-renowned multinational , one of the largest companies in Germany. When I arrived there I was not aware that I was coming to such a large company with such an impact and the only thing I knew about them was that they appeared in the Carrusel Deportivo (run by Pepe Domingo Castaño) advertising chainsaws. After a few weeks of working there I realized that it was the number 1 company in the sector and that the demands were very high . I worked for thailand consumer mobile number list 6 months with all the enthusiasm and a lot of desire. The chances of staying in the company were practically zero, but I didn't care, I wanted to learn something new every second I was there , and so it was.

In the meantime, you were also Website Project Manager for Bet Pronósticos, designing the website and helping with its positioning. Do you think it is essential to have web and design knowledge if you want to go far in Online Marketing? What advice would you give to someone who wants to start learning these skills from scratch?
BetPronosticos is a project I did with some friends and as soon as we launched it, we realized the importance that Digital Marketing had in this type of sector and practically in the entire market. If we hadn't learned about positioning, web design and social networks, we wouldn't have lasted a single day, so it was key to learn about all of this. Fortunately, there are now many more resources to learn about all of this on your own, but to have a good knowledge base and be able to decide where to specialize, I think it's key to do a professional master's degree or take more advanced training. Afterwards, it's much easier to acquire knowledge independently.

You finally managed to stay on after your internship at STIHL as Local Marketing Manager. How did you manage to get the offer to stay on? Did your previous job influence this? What did you learn that made the difference?
Apart from proving that I wanted to conquer the world from day one, I was already beginning to have important knowledge of digital marketing and that, in a company that was in the middle of a digital transformation process , was key. A new job position came up to manage, design and position the virtual stores of our distributors and despite having to go through a tough selection process, I managed to stay. The truth is that when I read the requirements they asked for, I thought it was the ideal position for me, because they were looking for everything that I was passionate about and that I wanted to enjoy for the rest of my professional life. When they selected me it was one of the happiest moments of my life.
