Generative artificial intelligence (AI) will have been the trend of the year 2023. But what is the level of adoption by brands of this "new" technology widely democratized by ChatGPT ? According to the latest report from the Capgemini Research Institute entitled "Generative AI and the evolving role of marketing: A CMO's Playbook", a majority of marketers (62%) believe that generative AI will increase creativity, by reinforcing unique human qualities such as intuition, emotion and understanding of context.
Organizations that are already investing in generative AI for marketing are dedicating 62% of their total marketing IT budget to it , viewing this disruptive technology as an enabler of creativity special database and innovation for their business. For example, 57% of marketers expect generative AI to act as a catalyst to unlock new creative possibilities, particularly when human-driven and AI-driven innovation collaborate; 55% predict it will motivate teams to think beyond traditional boundaries.
Generative AI: what use in marketing?
Half of organizations have already set aside specific budgets and nearly half (47%) have dedicated teams to implement generative AI in marketing. Over the next two to three years, marketers who are already using generative AI expect it to be applied to data analysis (90%), SEO optimization (89%), customer service (89%), content creation (88%), and image and video generation (86%).
Therefore, these specialists are actively implementing practices aimed at using generative AI in all areas of marketing. According to the study, organizations believe that this technology can contribute to the creation of a unique brand image (67%), accurate analysis of customer and market trends (65%), reduction of marketing costs (66%), and improvement of efficiency in the production of content and results (65%).
