Playing on emotions is one of the most successful ways to advertise. It creates a connection on a deeper level with your customer. You can't achieve that kind of connection with an advertisement in which you communicate a promotion.

One of my favorite commercials ever is the 2015 Christmas video from German supermarket chain Edeka. Get your tissues ready.
3. A teacher is honored
Turkish Airways honors a flight instructor. And in doing so, they create a commercial that is far more effective than any traditional commercial.

5. Green in the ice
In this beautiful commercial, it is only revealed in the last three seconds who the message is from. Despite this (or perhaps because of it) you keep watching. Well done.

The Dutch supermarket Plus did an Edekaatje in 2017. This video dares to show a different side of Christmas – a Christmas in which divorced parents play a role. Something different from all those 'perfect' families that you usually see in Christmas commercials! A worthy conclusion to this list.
