Digital transformation: France Num releases its 2024 barometer, where are the VSEs/SMEs?

The France Num system aims to support the digital transformation of VSEs and SMEs. Since its first edition, the France Num barometer has been surveying a significant sample of French VSEs and SMEs to better understand their perception and uses of digital technology. Here are the results of the 2024 edition of the annual barometer.

SMEs/VSEs: increasing confidence in digital technology
While it was significantly eroding in 2023, the confidence of VSE and SME managers in digital technology is on the rise again. 79 % (+3 points) believe that digital technology brings real benefits. The larger the company, the stronger this conviction: this rate rises to 85 % for SMEs.

These leaders see digital as a valuable tool for:



increase their turnover,
optimize their operation,
improve their profitability.
In fact, 42 % believe that digital technology allows them to make money, compared to 39 % in 2023. The effects of online visibility reinforce this conviction . Indeed, more than one in two companies declare that at least 5 % of their customers come from the internet (+5 points since 2023).
