Rubén González is currently studying three Masters in International Marketing and is also starting a new position as Community Manager at Factoría de Proyectos. How does he manage to do everything at the same time and also be our most active Alumni in the Facebook group ? He tells us about it in the following interview!

After graduating in law and completing an internship at a law firm, why did you decide to change direction and focus on digital marketing?
It all started when I was halfway through my degree, I went to Beijing and my boost business’s competitiveness with switzerland lists perspective changed completely. I realised that I had skills that I didn't know I had: one of them, for example, was negotiating , and I felt very comfortable. I arrived in Barcelona and decided that Law was not my path and while I was studying for my degree, I was also training in business and marketing using books that I bought and rented from the library, as well as other resources such as YouTube, etc.

You decided to go for International Marketing, not only by taking one Master's degree, but three! What was the reason?
My first contact with IM was a bit of a glimmer of hope. I was looking for something more MBA-oriented at the Masters fair, something that would give me the tools to set up my own business. After more than half a day of looking at stands and getting information, Patricia, my current partner, who sometimes knows me better than I do, tells me: "I've seen a stand that we haven't seen and I think you might be interested."

I reluctantly went to the stand and it only took a few minutes to convince me that this was going to be the way. Estefanía Sors explained everything to me, I left the fair that day and in the first container (the one for paper, you always have to recycle) I threw away all the other registrations, brochures, etc. from the universities I visited and I stayed with IM, that's where my love story with you begins and may it last much longer.

On the other hand, the reason for taking 3 masters is that I started taking the one in Digital Marketing and Social Networks and I loved it, but because of the way I am, I needed to know more, I wanted and want to know everything or have at least a notion of what I will be able to contribute to the company or my own business . That is why I decided to expand to the Master in E-commerce and the Master in Strategies, Branding and Advertising as well.

The best thing of all is that I haven't even noticed the transition, everything has been made easy by the IM management and Marta Raventós, which is appreciated because bureaucracy is something that tends to be tedious. I have experience with changing subjects or registrations when I was studying law and the truth is that they were very tedious.

Not only do you study, but you have also combined work and studies from the very beginning. How have you managed to ensure that your livelihood did not interfere with your professional aspirations?
