Until recently, marketers and programmers walked different paths. In fact, programmers walked a lonely path, often far removed from society. As their field became more and more popular and necessary, they began to interact with other professional profiles to join forces in the digital world.
Unfortunately, this relationship does not always work. In the case at hand, neither marketers nor marketing programmers know programming. At IM we aim to correct one of these problems, bringing web technology closer to marketers.
The best SEOs not only know, but become friends with HTML meta tags. Those who run corporate blogs know WordPress inside out. The best social media strategists must know not only what an API is, but which ones are most south korea consumer mobile number list suitable for their mobile application.
For all this and more, it is hard to believe that someone can work in the digital field without knowing this environment. It is possible to work and ask questions to the IT guy who is already more than tired of answering. It is also possible to pay programmers who have no idea of the objectives of a landing page. But what SMEs are looking for is to reduce costs and optimize work time, so the ideal would be for marketers to be able to learn a minimum of web technology to be self-sufficient in their work.
How much have the syllabus and activities changed?
In terms of structure and content, the course gets rid of all those elements that were not so relevant for marketers, and delves into the most fundamental definitions so that the student understands not only what they do, but why they do it.
The course also provides new branches of web technology, such as “Cybersecurity: beginner's kit”, as well as the specialization of content according to the student's profile: “Technologies for websites”, “Technologies for SEO” and “Technologies for online communities”.
Likewise, the activities are now much more practical, always thinking about the immediate application of what has been learned in a work environment or personal project of the student.
From the LOPD to the RGPD
Until now, the Web Technology syllabus has always been accompanied by a mini-syllabus on the LOPD.
Following what has been one of the major changes in 2018, this syllabus has also been updated and has now focused on the RGPD . This mini-syllabus - which still does not include questionnaires - covers all the latest developments regarding the processing of customer data by companies on the Internet.
New professionals join the project
Along with the change in the syllabus, there has also been a change in the teaching staff. Vinyet Escribano, who was also in charge of updating the syllabus, is the new online teacher. The face-to-face classes are taught by Samuel Solís, Web Designer and Information Architect, in Madrid, and Ester Torres, specialist in HTML5, CSS3, JS, PHP and MYSQL, in Barcelona.
