What is the difference between A3 and A1 certificates?

The A3 type certificate can be used by individuals or companies in virtual activities. Check out some of its features now:
Digital signature: Allows you to sign electronic documents with authenticity, integrity and legal validity. The digital signature with an A3 certificate is considered legally equivalent to the handwritten signature in Brazil, according to Provisional Measure 2.200-2 of 2001;
Authentication: Facilitates secure access to restricted systems, such as government portals, including the IRS website. By using the certificate, the user authenticates securely and quickly.
This makes it possible to make valid signatures, declare income tax , issue electronic invoices (NF-e), among other actions.

There are several types of digital certificates, and among the type A certificates, we have A1 and A3. These two models have the same purpose, but they have specific differences. See:
A1 Digital Certificate : Valid for 1 year, stored on the computer in file format (without the need for an external device), but depends on the security of the machine;
