If the video is shot at a lower frequency, for example, 30 frames per second, then the slow motion function will simply not be available. Therefore, if you previously shot videos at 30 fps to save space, now is the time to switch to 60 fps. This can be done in two ways:
Through the camera:

In the upper right corner of the screen, tap the frame rate indicator (such as 24 or 30) several times until you see 60.
Via settings:
Open Settings on your iPhone and go to Camera.
Select the "Record Video" option.
