Huawei is bringing the “5G automotive ecosphere”
Huawei said it has created a "5G automotive ecosphere" aimed at accelerating the commercial use of 5G in the automotive industry, the Securities Times reported on Monday.
According to the document, the “5G Automotive Ecosphere” is the result of cooperation between Huawei and 18 automakers, including the first automotive group:
Chang'an Automobile
Dongfeng Motor Corporation
SAIC Motor Corporation
Guangzhou Automobile Group
BYD Auto, Great Wall Motors
Chery Holdings and JAC Motors

Huawei has big ambitions for self-driving. The “5G automotive ecosphere” is likely to benefit most from self-driving, where 5G’s low latency meets the urgent technical requirements for self-driving. “ Our ultimate goal is to achieve full self-driving ,” Xu Zhijun, Huawei’s rotating board director, told the company last year. “ We can do everything Tesla is doing now .”
