Prices for public transport tickets often increase by up to 100% the closer the holiday is.

There are twenty days left until Easter and many Peruvians are already planning what they will do during this holiday. While some decide to stay at home and spend time with their families, others prefer to take a relaxing trip.
The president of the Peruvian Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies , Publio Santander, suggests that, if you have not yet purchased your tickets, do not wait until the last minute, as prices rise by more than 100% if you buy them just a week before departure.
"It's also important to book your accommodations ahead of time . You don't want to arrive at your destination and find that there's nowhere to rest or leave your things," the representative warns.
EXPENSES The Director of exit number screening Administration and Finance at the UPC , Paúl Lira, indicates that, if you decide to leave your city, try to take advantage of the offers from travel agencies , which include airfare and accommodation. "You should have a predetermined fund to spend on these days," he says.
For his part, ESAN University Finance professor Jorge Guillén advises creating a record that includes a specific amount for each activity, for example, S/.50 for lunch on the first day.
"The idea is to control and spend only what has been set in that small budget," advises the expert.
He also says that some Peruvians usually allocate their utility bills to this long weekend. However, he suggests that, before doing so, they should try to reduce debts, if they have any.
"It is advisable not to spend more than 30% of profits in a single weekend , even if it is four days long," he says.
