The announcement of the MTV Video Music Awards 'Best Female Video' nominations: much shared, much liked.
In a time when consumers, online influencers and editors have less and less time, social content is increasingly coming at us in bite-sized chunks. Instagram and Vine are no exceptions. Where YouTube owes its popularity to special videos of a maximum of 10 minutes, users of the social video services only have a few seconds at their disposal. Isn't that a huge limitation for brands?
Quite the opposite! Because the videos only last a few seconds, more people are inclined to press play and watch the entire video. The attention value of a Vine video, for example, is therefore, in contrast to commercials or longer virals, almost always 100%. A great opportunity to get into the minds and hearts of consumers, provided that the video content is relevant and striking enough.

3. Give (literally) a face to the brand
Don't try to tell the whole story of a campaign or brand with a social video: six to 15 seconds are guaranteed to be too short for that. Write down two or three brand values and think about how you can link them together in a relevant and striking way. Use existing content (product, bytes from the campaign) or new content (input from followers or have an animation made). With a good idea and a strong brand, you'll quickly have a social video hit.
