Elon Musk: "It won't make sense to buy Twitter if we're heading towards World War III"

A Delaware court has denied Elon Musk 's attempt to delay the trial over his failed acquisition of Twitter . The trial is set for October 17 and looks set to go ahead on that date following the latest news from the court.
Musk initially explained that he called off the deal because he had discovered a much larger number of bots on the platform than he had expected and than Twitter had claimed. At the hearing, he pointed to a text message urging his banker to “put the brakes on” the deal for a few days while he considered a speech by Russian President Vladimir Putin. “ It won’t make sense to buy Twitter if we’re headed for World War III ,” Musk said.
The decision comes after a hearing held yesterday afternoon in which the billionaire's lawyers indicated a "few" weeks to review the new information before the aforementioned trial start date.
Twitter, for its part, accused the tycoon of trying to drag out the trial and "sow chaos" with more requests for documents, claiming at one point that his lawyers had been forced to pause responding to requests from international authorities.
