What is transmedia storytelling?
It consists of telling a story using different platforms or channels, which saudi arabia consumer mobile number list can be both analogue and digital. However, before continuing, we must establish a key point. By transmedia we do not mean explaining the same story on different channels, but rather dividing it with the aim of creating a coherent and attractive narrative. In other words, we will only know the entire story by accessing all the expansions. In this sense, the user receives special attention since he feels completely involved and assumes an active role.
Once the concept is understood, Henry Jenkins (media expert) proposes 7 basic principles of transmedia storytelling that we must take into account:
Expansion vs. depth: Expansion refers to the commitment of users to participate and share content. On the other hand, depth refers to the interest of viewers to consume other possible extensions of the content. Both concepts are essential to put ourselves in the role of the viewer.
Continuity vs. multiplicity: Continuity is about the coherence and credibility that the narrative should have, and multiplicity is the possibility of accessing other expansions of the story.

Immersion vs. Extraction: The concept of immersion is based on the user entering the different channels to learn the whole story. Extraction, on the other hand, is when the user takes elements from the transmedia universe to bring them into the real world.
Worldbuilding: This is about building a richer universe through the different extensions of the story and can combine the digital and real world.
Seriality: It is basically fragmenting our story with the aim of distributing it through different channels in multiple installments.
Subjectivity: It is the idea that the user can view the story through different points of view.
Execution: This last principle is based on the possibility of users generating their own content and making it part of the experience.
